Infrastructures & Networks
European Research Infrastructures
CEB is part of the following European Research Infrastructures:
- MIRRI, the pan-European research infrastructure for microbial resources. CEB through Micoteca of the Universidade do Minho will host the headquarters of this pan-European Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure.
- ELIXIR, the European Life Sciences Infrastructure for Biological Information, through Biodata.pt, the Portuguese distributed infrastructure for biological data, integrating the FCT’s Infrastructure Roadmap.
- INSTRUCT, a pan-European research infrastructure in structural biology, through PCISBIO – Portuguese Centre for Integrated Structural Biology.
- EU-Openscreen, high-capacity screening platforms throughout Europe.
- EERA, the European Energy Research Alliance.
Portuguese Research Infrastructures
CEB is taking part of five funded research infrastructures included in the Portuguese Roadmap
- PtmBRCN/MIRRI-PT, the Portuguese microBiological Resource Center Network (Rede Portuguesa de Centros de Recursos Microbiológicos), is the national node of the ESFRI Roadmap RI MIRRI, (pan-European Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure).
- BioData.pt, the Portuguese Biological Data Network, a distributed virtual RI, is the national node of the ESFRI Roadmap RI ELIXIR (European life-sciences Infrastructure for Biological Information).
- BBRI, the Biomass and Bioenergy Research Infrastructure, aligned with the implementation plan of the European Industrial Bioenergy Initiative (EIBI).
- PT–OPENSCREEN, the Portuguese Network for screening (Infraestrutura Nacional para a Química Biológica e Genética), is the national node of the EU-Openscreen, high-capacity screening platforms throughout Europe..
- CryoEM-PT, the National Advanced Electron Microscopy Network for Health and Life Sciences..
Research Networks/Clusters
CEB is taking part of the following Portuguese research networks/clusters:
- PortugalFoods (INTEGRALAR), the Portuguese AgroFood cluster representing the various subsectors that make up the Portuguese agrofood sector.
- Portuguese Water Partnership (PPA), a network of organizations of the water sector, engaged in sustainable water use and enhancement of water resources.
Collaborative Laboratories
CEB is taking part of the following Portuguese Colab:
- CoLab4Food, Collaborative Laboratory for Food Industry Innovation.
- BIOREF, Collaborative Laboratory for Biorefineries.
- CECOLAB, Collaborative Laboratory for Circular Economy.
- ADVID, Collaborative Laboratory for Vine and Wine.
